Up to $5,000 in guaranteed seats for Venom Fever Poison PKO
The $5,000 Venom PKO will have 1,000 guaranteed seats, priced at $2,650 apiece, thanks to the chain of satellites. The greatest progressive knockout tournament in online poker will hold its first of four Day 1s on October 20th.
"Players love our Venom Fever satellites because it allows them to earn a $2,650 seat for a low amount, with buy-ins starting around $30," said Chris Moneymaker, a Team Pro for Americas Cardroom.
"So that's why we stress how desirable this fever is to catch!"
Each player in the Venom PKO starts with a bounty on their head. If they manage to knock out another player, they will receive half of the bounty that their opponent had. Half of the prize money goes to the hunter, so as the tournament goes on, the bounties get bigger and bigger, eventually reaching six figures.
"Players can punch their $2,650 ticket for mere pennies through Skips and Venom Blitz Satellites, or for literally $0 via Steps and Freerolls," Moneymaker said, stressing that there are numerous additional ways to obtain a Venom seat.
Speaking of other recent poker news, all PokerStars tournaments were cancelled on Sunday due to technical difficulties, throwing participants into turmoil. When PokerStars announced the bulk cancellation, several tournaments were already in progress, and some customers took to Twitter to express their anger at the online casino operator.
Another development from earlier this week is that the PokerStars Players NL Hold 'em Championship (PSPC) will return in 2023. From January 30th, 2022 until February 3rd, 2022, the Baha Mar hotel in the Bahamas will host the tournament.
