New licence for Kambi in Sweden
The Swedish market has awarded Kambi Group a fresh licence valid for five years.
In addition to its listing on Stockholm's Nasdaq First North Growth Market, Kambi has an existing presence in Sweden. Kambi plans to expand its activities in Sweden with the help of this new B2B gambling licencing.
This new licence was granted to Kambi as a result of a gambling bill that was approved last year. The bill aimed at reducing the scale of the black market and improving channelization by requiring gambling suppliers to obtain new permits in order to service licenced operators in Sweden.
Starting on July 1, 2023, the licences will be in force, as announced by the Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen).
Kambi inked a long-term deal with Bally's Corporation this year. As part of their new relationship, Kambi will offer their sportsbook to help Bally improve and expand their retail and online sportsbooks.
Additionally, Kambi and Paf inked another long-term cooperation. Having begun their collaboration in 2011, Paf is one of Kambi's most enduring relationships.
Along with this, Kambi Group has partnered with WarHorse Gaming, a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk, to run an on-site sportsbook. At WarHorse Casino Lincoln, you can find Kambi's sportsbook, where you may play 400 slots and watch live and simulcast thoroughbred racing.
"We are pleased to have obtained the necessary B2B gambling permits for Sweden, which, given Kambi's heritage, has long been one of our most important markets," said David Carter, Chief Legal Officer at Kambi.
The foundation of Kambi's success as the world's top B2B sportsbook is our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and regulatory regulations, and this further demonstrates our dedication.
