New ITIA CEO Karen Moorhouse to take office in February 2023
After 14 years as Chief Regulatory Officer at the Rugby Football League, Moorhouse will start her tenure on 6 February 2023. The Rugby League World Cup 2022, held in northern England last month, was also overseen by her as a non-executive director.
After Jonny Grey departed the ITIA in September, she will take his place.
Karen stood out from a strong field of candidates as the person who combines the talents, expertise and personal attributes to take integrity in tennis to the next level', said Jennie Price, chair of the ITIA board of directors.
She has outstanding business and governance skills in addition to her extensive understanding of sports integrity. She is team-oriented, welcoming, and cooperative above everything else. What a relief it is that she has chosen to come along.
Moorhouse spoke highly of the ITIA and her delight at becoming an executive member of the institution. I am already tremendously impressed by the level of people I have met at the ITIA and around the sport, and their dedication to honesty and transparency, and I am truly thrilled to be joining," she said.
"I will prioritise collaborating with our stakeholders and other organisations in the sports, anti-doping, and betting industries to stay abreast of emerging trends in player education, support, and rule compliance monitoring."
