Majestic Bingo sells eight clubs to Real Fun Group
Eight bingo clubs in England and Wales have been acquired by Real Fun Group from Majestic Bingo, bringing the total number of clubs in the group's portfolio to ten.
Under the joint administration of Tim Bateson and Chris Pole of Interpath Advisory, Majestic Bingo entered administration on July 7, 023.
Rumour has it that 140 people's employment will be secured as a result of this transaction. Nearly two hundred people will be working for Real Fun Group's bingo clubs around the country.
Real Fun Group hopes to become one of the biggest independent bingo operators in the UK through this agreement and to solidify its place in the market.
"I'm incredibly excited by this opportunity," tweeted Real Fun Group CEO Kevin McGinnigle. I am looking forward to collaborating with the staff at this well-managed company that has suffered terrible misfortune in recent years. The knowledge that we have been able to retain so many employees is mind-boggling as I sit here today.
Despite the fact that we have a long road ahead of us, I am convinced that we have the proper people on our team to ensure the project's success. I come from a long line of bingo players, so I know firsthand the vital role that bingo halls play in our towns. It's an incredible opportunity to help preserve these iconic venues for our patrons.
Among other bingo-related announcements, ITV's Loose Women recently revealed Mecca Bingo as its primary sponsor.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Huddle exclusive interviewee Bingo Association CEO Miles Baron was here.
