Joining IBIA during a possible acquisition time, Zeturf
I am really happy that we have embarked on this worldwide partnership with top operators of sports betting," Zeturf group's Paul Klomp said in response to the news.
"Providing a solid betting product relies on the integrity of sports, particularly the ones on which we accept bets. We are certain that we can contribute to the association's success thanks to our extensive background in the field.
Each year, the more than 40 operators and 100 betting brands that make up the IBIA network record a total of $137 billion in betting turnover. This accounts for nearly half of the online betting activity conducted by authorised commercial operators.
When asked about Zeturf's decision to join the organisation, IBIA CEO Khalid Ali responded, "IBIA is delighted to welcome Zeturf group to the association's growing membership."
"The operator further solidifies IBIA's position as the preeminent organisation overseeing betting integrity, while also extending the association's global reach into regulated horseracing and sports betting markets. With Zeturf's unique operational perspective and extensive coverage, IBIA's global monitoring and alert network will be strengthened.
Malta, France, Spain, Belgium, Nigeria, and the Netherlands have all granted licences to Zeturf, a sports betting and horseracing company. Additionally, La Française des Jeux (FDJ) is presently acquiring it.
Including more than €100 million in bets placed by businesses, the sportsbook with 100 staff recorded €800 million ($800.8 million) in wagers in 2021. In 2021, half of Zebet's wagers were on horseracing, giving the operator a 20% share of the online horserace betting industry.
