Channel 5 boxing deal involves Ladbrokes and Wasserman
The first of at least six bouts scheduled for 2023 will take place on March 24 at the University of Bolton Stadium, and it will be for the IBO World Light Heavyweight Championship, pitting Argentine Braian Nahuel Suarez against Manchester-born boxer Lyndon Arthur.
Harlem Eubank, son of former WBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank, will face Christian Uruzquieta of Mexico on March 31st after that bout.
The new partnership will offer first-class, free-to-air boxing to the British public, according to Kalle Sauerland, Head of Global Boxing at Wasserman. "We're delighted to be working with Ladbrokes, one of the world's leading entertainment brands," Sauerland said of the deal.
"Big names and up-and-coming stars will headline massive fights that will air live and free on Channel 5 in 2023."
Kelly Rose, Ladbrokes' Head of Brand Marketing, commented: "We're thrilled to partner with Wasserman Boxing bringing entertaining, top-drawer free-to-air fights on Channel 5 in 2023." We're looking forward to a fantastic year ahead and are eagerly anticipating the start of the knockout stage.
Football players in the United Kingdom and Ireland will get free access to Powerleague pitches thanks to a new partnership between Ladbrokes and Powerleague.
The deal was announced by Rose, who expressed her excitement about starting the association with Powerleague. It emphasises our 'We Play Together' proposition and helps Ladbrokes establish a presence at the centre of football culture and entertainment.
